Key Leadership Role in Product Development: A high-caliber professional is sought after to spearhead the product development function for advanced home appliances, focusing on Washing Machines. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in this category and a proven track record of leading new product development from concept to market launch. This leadership position demands strategic foresight, technical depth, and exceptional cross-functional execution capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Product Visionary: Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and development strategy aligned with market trends and business goals. Analyze market data, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to drive product innovation and differentiation.
  • Research & Development Lead: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from research and ideation through design, prototyping, validation, and mass production. Ensure concept feasibility studies, technical documentation, and performance benchmarking of products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with R&D, engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution. Ensure design for manufacturability, cost optimization, and adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Technology & Vendor Management: Identify emerging technologies and collaborate with vendors and OEMs for component development and sourcing. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry certifications.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication: Build and lead a high-performing product development team. Present product proposals and progress updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Deep experience in washing machine product development or closely related appliances.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, component engineering, electrical integration, and firmware coordination.
  • Proficient in tools like CAD, BOM structuring, product validation techniques, and cost modeling.
  • Sound understanding of compliance standards (ISI/BIS/IEC) and industry best practices.
  • Experience in managing in-house OEM/ODM operations while overseeing outsourced development initiatives and cross-functional project delivery.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into technical product solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering is mandatory.
  • M.Tech or MBA with specialization in Product Management/Technology will be an added advantage.
