Telecommunications Systems Engineer

The role of Telecommunications Systems Engineer is to design, develop, and implement leading-edge telecommunications solutions across various sectors.

  • Develop detailed designs for ICT and telecommunications systems, including structured cabling systems, communications rooms, outside plant infrastructure, active ICT networks, wireless LAN, and RF systems.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings to enable tendering of works and the installation and commissioning of systems and solutions.
  • Liaise with engineers, vendors, and contractors throughout project duration.
  • Mentor junior and graduate engineers and work within a multi-discipline design team.
Key Requirements:
  • Master's degree in electronic, computer systems, or telecommunications or Master of Science in Information Technology (Networks).
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • Preferably past experience in mentoring.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Extensive experience in designing ICT and telecommunications systems, preferably in Asia Pacific, USA, Middle East, or UK.
  • Underpinning knowledge of network design principles and experience working in critical environments.
  • Detailed knowledge of system and subsystem integration, including telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, active network design, server and SAN solutions, firewalls, radio systems, MPLS, and more.

This position requires an individual with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
