Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and experience in mechanical design, with a focus on creating 2D and 3D models, bills of material, and managing documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Development: Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components using Auto Cad 2D & Solid works / Siemens NX (Unigraphics).
  2. Bills of Material and Documentation: Develop bills of material (BOMs) and maintain ISO documents as per ISO 9004:2015.
  3. Modification and Improvement: Modify existing designs based on manufacturing and sourcing team requirements.
  4. Cost Analysis: Conduct cost comparisons of products with other brands and analyze material of construction (MOC).
  5. Efficiency and Quality: Implement design standards and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.
  6. Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to stakeholders.
  7. Document Management: Manage and maintain all ISO 9001:2015 related design documents.
  8. Training and Development: Train production, assembly, and quality assurance personnel on approved manufacturing, test, and inspection procedures.
  9. Problem Solving: Resolve process and product-related issues to support the manufacturing and sourcing teams.
  10. Customer Support: Action on customer complaints to resolve within specified timeframes.
  11. Correspondence: Prepare internal and external written correspondence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office
  • Qualification: Minimum qualification: Diploma, CIPET or BE Mechanical Engineering
