Job Title: System Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, upgrade and integrate TrueSight Operations Management, Patrol Agents on various operating systems.
  • Work with knowledge modules such as database, Websphere, Exchange, Sentry hardware, and Sentry monitoring studio.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Patrol Agent and TrueSight server components.
  • Manage event policies and configure them for effective administration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Principles of BMC TrueSight Operations Management installation, upgrade, integration, administration, configuration (especially version 10.x & later).
  • Good experience in installing Patrol Agents on Windows, RHEL, AIX, Solaris OS.
  • Understanding of working with knowledge modules like DB, Websphere, Exchange, Sentry hardware, Sentry monitoring studio, along with basic KMs like OS, LOG, URL.
  • Basic knowledge of custom KMs.
  • Problem analysis skills to resolve Patrol Agent and TrueSight server component issues.
  • Knowledge in event management policy administration, configuration.
  • Working knowledge of MRLs, custom classes.
  • Understanding of datacenter IT infrastructure components, Unix, Windows OS, Virtualization.
