Linux System Administrator Position

We are seeking an experienced Linux administrator to manage our Linux operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise in RedHat 6/7/8, CentOS to ensure seamless system administration
  • Manage VMs, software packages, accounts, file permissions and perform system tuning
  • Develop Shell scripts, LVM, TCP/UDP, SNMP, DNS, NFS, SSH, sudo, syslog skills
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, manage services, implement system hardening and fix broken items
  • Patch systems and conduct release management
  • Understand TCP/IP networking in the OSI model for LAN/WAN environments
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, excellent time management, communication and presentation skills across various organization levels
  • Provide incident response support with a customer-focused approach.
  • Work effectively in VMware environments
  • Ongoing cloud administration experience in AWS, Azure or Google is desired

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education/training
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring systems
  • Hold any relevant certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CCENT, VCP, AWS, Azure
