Job Title: Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer

A highly skilled and experienced PCB design engineer is required to provide technical expertise in designing and optimizing printed circuit boards (PCBs) and resolving issues at internal or external fabricators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret Electrical/Electronic Schematics to ensure accurate design.
  • Generate detailed fabrication drawings of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Gerber files (Artwork).
  • Develop hardware design documents that cover design analysis, notes, and specific guidelines followed.
  • Architect and design high-performance/bandwidth PCBs using industry-standard tools.
  • Perform PCB layout for analog, digital, and RF circuit boards through fabrication and assembly drawings generation.
  • Be responsible for transferring schematic net-list design, ID, and ME design into the physical PCB design based on electrical considerations such as signal integrity, power integrity, ID, mechanical integrity, EMC-EMI, and safety.
  • Create and manage PCB documentation including fabrication and assembly drawings, Gerber files.
  • Coordinate and approve PCB layout.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and fabrication documentation while following revision control procedures.
  • Bring up and test of the PCBs and auxiliary electronics.
  • Develop PCB layout concepts that are in line with products that involve efficient manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Design, Electronics Engineering, Embedded System Engineering, ECE, or ETC is required. Desired skills include minimum 3 years' experience in using two or more PCB designing tools such as KiCAD, ISIS, ARES, Allegro, or similar industry-standard tools.

Additionally, a strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and materials, digital and analog circuit design fundamentals, and strong logic/board debug, and analytical skills are essential.
