We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Database Reliability Engineer II. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale database systems using Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

A day in the life of this position includes:

  • Designing and implementing database solutions that meet the needs of our business
  • Ensuring the high availability, reliability, and performance of our database systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical issues
  • Developing and implementing automation scripts to streamline database administration tasks

In addition to these responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:

  • Capacity planning and optimization of large-scale database clusters
  • Synchronizing data between multiple data stores
  • Designing and implementing database security best practices
  • Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of experience in database administration or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with SQL query writing and scripting languages such as Python
  • Demonstrated experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Knowledge of database design principles and query optimization techniques
  • Expertise in troubleshooting database performance issues in production
