Project Finance Manager

This key role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the financial aspects of a project.

• Financial Planning and Budgeting: Prepare project budgets, annual/quarterly/monthly planning, and rolling forecasts in collaboration with senior finance executives as needed.
• Financial Management: Oversee project invoicing, tax issues, bonds, and guarantees, ensuring timely implementation of required mitigation actions.
• Cash Flow Management: Drive and coordinate monthly project reviews jointly with finance teams, reviewing all financial aspects of the project, including estimate at completion and related cost-to-complete, forecasted revenues and cash flow, risks, and opportunities assessment.
• Commercial Awareness: Promote commercial awareness within the project team and provide commercial input to the project execution plan.
• Client Coordination: Coordinate with clients for approval on invoices, obtaining payments, and various forms for compliance purposes.
• Billing and Invoicing: Maintain an updated billing register capturing details of all billings till date, status on approval, payment, deductions with categories and reasons, and follow-up to collect deducted amounts.
• Expense Monitoring: Monitor and control site expenses, reporting weekly project expenses in a specified format, and reconcile entries with invoices.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze actual vs. budget costs and revenue on the project, highlighting potential issues to the controller manager and project managers.
• Project Actualisation: Lead the activity of project actualisation at defined frequency, coordinating with the project team to obtain required data, discussing with the controller manager to prepare finance-related slides for the presentation, uploading the actua after approval from required people.
• Kappa Review: Review Kappa against budgeted costs, highlighting when costs exceed the budget, checking that adequate documents are attached with Kappa.
• Monthly Business Review: Share project slides for monthly business review in accordance with timeline defined by the project team, keeping the controller manager informed.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive checks on provisions to ensure they are accurate, complete, and in line with accounting rules and instructions, performing monthly cash verification and surprise verification at least once a month, reporting results.
• Internal Financial Controls: Lead and supervise compliance with Internal Financial Controls as defined in the Risk and Control Matrix.
• Insurance and Guarantee Renewal: Monitor contracts and other guarantees to ensure timely renewal, reduction as per contractual conditions.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure tax regulations are adhered to.
• Support to Execution Team: Provide necessary support to the execution team and become a core finance support to the team for all finance-related matters, anticipating issues, discussing with the controller manager, and taking proactive actions to resolve issues.
• Timesheet Management: Timely fill man-days for self against respective projects, checking staff timesheets are filled properly and on time.
• Site Accountant Supervision: Supervise day-to-day work of site accountants, providing guidance and support for efficient conduct of site tasks.
• Central Controlling Team Support: Support central controlling team on various analyses and ad-hoc requests.

Educational Qualification: MBA Finance/CA-Inter/ICWA
