Senior IT Systems Engineer

The role involves contributing to the deployment, support and maintenance of applications and products in cloud environments.

This position requires a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps teams to enhance integration of Artifactory services into software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain and support Artifactory, ensuring high availability across geographically distributed environments.
  • Act as liaison with third-party vendors to escalate and resolve advanced technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to users of IT services, ensuring timely issue resolution and adherence to SLAs.
  • Manage user and team provisioning, access controls, permissions across supported services, with emphasis on security, reliability and operational continuity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver complex maintenance, upgrades and support initiatives.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention.
  • Drive modernization efforts for deployment, monitoring and testing processes of infrastructure services.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for system configurations, administrative procedures and user-facing support materials.
  • Respond to and manage service escalations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices to improve service delivery and system performance.
  • Participate in on-call support rota, providing after-hours support for critical systems and rapid incident response.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining JFrog Artifactory, including user provisioning.
  • Skilled in integrating Artifactory with build tools and pipelines, ensuring seamless artifact management within CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong experience in Linux system administration, including Bash scripting for automation and system management tasks.
  • Highly responsible, adaptable, collaborative team player with strong initiative and clear communication skills.
  • Experience using ITSM platform with proven track record on timely customer responses and ticket updates.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and experience.
