As a Principal Software Architect, you will play a key role in designing and developing the core distributed systems that power our mission. We are seeking an exceptional engineer with a proven track record of building complex, large-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solution Architecture: Design, develop, and operate foundational backend services that meet rigorous standards for performance and reliability.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance through exemplary code, design documents, and thoughtful code reviews. Drive best practices in system design and raise the bar for the team.
  • Strategic Ownership: Take ownership of complex projects from conception to deployment. Deliver pragmatic, robust solutions that drive business value.
  • Complex Problem-Solving: Tackle challenging technical issues in distributed computing, large-scale data processing, and overall system architecture.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ Years of Experience: Proven expertise in software engineering with a focus on designing and building complex distributed systems.
  • Backend Development Expertise: Strong understanding of system architecture, data modeling, and API design. Proficient in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Action-Oriented Problem-Solving: Strong bias for action and a pragmatic approach to solving complex problems.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++). Experience with or interest in TypeScript is a plus.
  • Cloud and Data Infrastructure: Experience with modern cloud and data infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, Postgres).
