Job Title: Senior Production Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven production manager to oversee and manage the operations of a spirits manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in production management within the alcohol or beverage sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Manage all aspects of plant operations, including manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, safety and environment, logistics, procurement, and finance.
    • Ensure uninterrupted and efficient production of distilled beverages and warehousing activities.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement budgeting, equipment selection, cost control, and plant commissioning strategies.
    • Drive production and sales targets as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
    • Formulate and implement strategies to meet annual business objectives.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
    • Establish and enforce SOPs for safety, quality, and security of workforce and machinery.
    • Optimize resource utilization across departments.
  • Quality & Maintenance:
    • Maintain in-process quality control and ensure continuous process improvements.
    • Oversee preventive maintenance, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Vendor & Compliance Management:
    • Identify and develop vendors; manage supplier relationships.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, including statutory authorities.
  • Projects & Capex:
    • Lead new capital expenditure projects and expansion initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & HR:
    • Build and lead high-performing teams aligned with company goals.
    • Manage industrial relations, labor issues, recruitment, orientation, and training.
  • Government Liaison:
    • Maintain smooth relations with government departments and facilitate liaisoning for seamless plant operations.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills. They should have a strong understanding of production management principles and practices, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
