Senior Director Product Design Team

About the Job

We are seeking a Senior Director to lead our product design team. This role involves shaping the future of our organization by designing solutions that empower internal teams and external users.

The successful candidate will have experience in leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features. They should also have a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and drive the holistic design vision for products ensuring a consistent high-quality user experience across internal and external applications.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Engage in early client and presales discussions to shape design strategy translating needs into actionable insights.
  • Establish and streamline design operations to improve scale consistency collaboration efficiency and quality across teams in a vision-driven environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in product management engineering and data science to align on product strategy goals and roadmaps.
  • Advocate for the user through research testing and feedback ensuring design decisions are informed by a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product-centric company.
  • Proven experience leading a team of designers who design and ship AI-powered products or features.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design HCI or a related field or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment.
