Executive Chef Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare menu items as requested by their supervisor.
- Must possess advanced knife handling skills and culinary knowledge.
- Must be able to work in any kitchen section, maintain a clean area, and adhere to Public Health standards.
- Must read, understand, and prepare company recipes efficiently and productively.
- Reports for duty at assigned times, follows supervisor's instructions, and maintains personal appearance and hygiene according to company rules.
Financial Management:
- Responsible for cost containment through proper use of supplies and equipment.
Motivational Aspects:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Education:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship service with at least 2 years as Line Cook (shipboard experience preferred).
- Culinary school degree is required along with strong management, communication, problem-solving, and people skills.
- Intermediate computer software skills are necessary, and basic accounting principles should be understood.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence, and establish good rapport with Senior Officers and corporate office.
