IT Infrastructure Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to lead our infrastructure strategy. The successful candidate will oversee the entire IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of middleware, database administration, networking, and systems architecture.

  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technology trends and be able to design, implement, and manage infrastructure systems that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute infrastructure strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Lead the management and optimization of Oracle databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and high availability.
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities for all critical infrastructure components.
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Work with middleware solutions (e.g., WebLogic, IBM WebSphere) to ensure efficient deployment and integration with other systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure meets business needs and performance targets.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members.
  • Ensure proper monitoring, security, and compliance across all infrastructure layers.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure solutions, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: 8+ years in infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Middleware Expertise: Hands-on experience with middleware technologies such as Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Apache, Nginx.
  • Oracle DBA Skills: Extensive experience in managing and optimizing Oracle databases (including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, backup/recovery strategies).
  • Networking Skills: Solid knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
  • Automation & Scripting: Proficient in using tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Oracle DBA, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft MCSE).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
  • Experience in cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and hybrid cloud environments.
