Lead Research Coordinator

This role involves overseeing and managing multiple applied research projects at the institute. The successful candidate will represent Principal Investigators (PIs) and scientists in project discussions, summarizing, documenting, and managing projects.

  • Oversee and manage multiple (two or three) applied research projects at the institute, and other independent projects on a time-to-time basis
  • Represent PIs and scientists in project discussions, summarize, document and manage the project
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across different organizations, working closely with Faculty, Engineering and management teams
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders actively
  • Interface and engage with external organizations through reports, meetings and presentations in a proactive manner.
  • Help manage scope, timelines and quality of research output in projects
  • Recommend tools, methods and processes to help improve efficacy and efficiency of project tracking and execution
  • Serve as a single point contact for project related requests from stakeholders
  • Create, maintain and update presentations related to various project engagements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). They should also possess experience in a technical role interfacing between research/engineering teams and customer-facing teams. Basic familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts, and applications is required.

Good analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to manage/understand cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to distill complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree is preferred) or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in a technical role interfacing between research/engineering teams and customer-facing teams
  • Basic familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts and applications
