Electrical Design Professional

This role involves collaborating with teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and promote continuous improvement.

The Electrical Design Professional will define and maintain design standards, contribute to R&D initiatives, and support the development of innovative subsea offshore systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design work, engineering calculations, and analysis in support of the development of subsea offshore systems.
  • Contribute to design reviews and review the work carried out by other engineers.
  • Be aware of technical procedures for assembly, testing, and operations.
  • Study, interpret, and implement requirements from industry codes and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree with 2-3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret electrical schematics, technical procedures, reports, governmental regulations, client specifications, and industry specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of industry codes API 17E, ICEA S-95-658, ISO 13628-5, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, UL, etc.
  • Familiarity with Flux2D ANSYS Maxwell Electrical Analysis Tool.
  • Familiarity with Multiphysics packages such as Comsol for thermal and electrical analysis.
  • Familiarity with cable design packages such as optem.
  • Familiarity with CAD packages such as AutoCAD.

Active participation in design reviews, safety practices, and stakeholder communication is essential. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
