**About the Role**

We are seeking a seasoned cloud engineer to lead our financial management initiatives and drive operational excellence on Azure. This role will shape cloud service strategies, lead research and proof of concepts (POCs), and provide opinionated insights to influence offerings and internal best practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep Azure expertise, cost optimization skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. The role involves managing Azure costs, designing secure & scalable cloud solutions, and exploring emerging technologies like Generative AI.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Manage and optimize Azure subscriptions and resources, ensuring cost efficiency and proper utilization.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards using Azure Cost Management data and exports.
  • Implement and manage Azure-native dashboards (Azure Advisor, budgets, cost recommendations).
  • Lead large-scale Azure migration and modernization engagements, managing end-to-end lifecycle and program governance.
  • Define and implement cost-management strategies through monitoring, optimization, and automation of Azure services.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven track record in Azure FinOps and cost optimization.
  • Strong expertise across Azure services (VMs, Blob Storage, SQL DB, AKS, Functions, Azure OpenAI).
  • Hands-on with Azure Cost Management, Advisor, Budgets.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell/Python scripting for automation.

**Nice to Have:**

  • Experience with third-party FinOps tools (CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, Flexera One, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Azure governance and compliance (Policies, Blueprints, Management Groups).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines.

**Background and Education**

  • Minimum 7+ years in cloud operations with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
