Cable Design Engineer

As a Cable Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence within the industry. Your expertise in EHV and HV cable design will be leveraged to develop high-quality cables that meet customer requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical reviews of sourcing requests from internal customers, ensuring alignment with Supply Chain Partner capabilities.
  • Design high-quality cables for EHV and HV applications, meeting customer requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to optimize their sourcing requests, leveraging Supply Chain Partner strengths.
  • Convert customer inquiries into effective cable sourcing requests, streamlining the process.
  • Perform complex calculations using Excel tools, including short circuit, ampacity, and drum length calculations.
  • Verify technical data sheets from suppliers, ensuring compliance with marketing strategies.
  • Develop Quality Control Plans and ITPs with Supply Chain Partners, guaranteeing quality assurance.
  • Prepare technical contracts and review Quality Records from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Witness in-process, routine, and sample tests, driving quality and efficiency.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance processes and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in EHV or HV cable design, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
