The Survey Engineer role encompasses providing expert-level survey support throughout the offshore wind project lifecycle, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of geophysical, geotechnical, and construction surveys.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading individual survey work scopes, encompassing HSE, resourcing, permitting, budget management, and data management
- Ensuring geo-data integrity and accuracy of deliverables
- Collaborating with integrated geoscience teams to acquire and build fit-for-purpose ground models for wind farm engineering
- Maintaining relationships with third-party suppliers, contractors, and partners to achieve long-term performance management and continuous improvement
- Contributing to technology development and knowledge sharing within the survey, geotechnical, and geophysical communities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of industry codes and standards
- Expertise in project management, procurement, HSSE, technical commercial, and schedule management
- Off- and on-shore geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental survey execution experience, including demonstrable offshore experience
- Experience in geotechnical and geophysical data acquisition, QC, processing, interpretation, and reporting
- Knowledge of Offshore Wind ground engineering activities and survey contractor market
