Job Description:

This role involves operating as a key member of our database operations team. The primary responsibilities include supporting database performance through logical DBA duties such as query optimization, code deployments, access management, and data analysis. Operating within Oracle and Exadata databases is essential to this position. Creating database objects, investigating performance issues, and monitoring data retention are also integral tasks. Collaboration with data architects, analysts, and owners will be necessary for both short-term work requests and long-term strategy implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • 5+ years of experience in physical and logical DBA roles, including experience with Oracle Exadata">
  • Extensive knowledge of database movement and processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL">
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodologies">
  • Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer">
  • Excellent communication skills">
  • Self-motivation and ability to work well in teams">

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Manage database operations, including memory usage, backups, active sessions, and query optimization">
  3. Coordinate with data architects and analysts on schema design, table creation, function development, view maintenance, and stored procedure refinement">
  4. Work closely with automation teams to schedule AWA/RMJ jobs on multiple databases">
  5. Provide DBA supervision and guidance on best practices for custom application development and routine database administration">
