Job Title: Pharmaceutical Development Specialist

This role focuses on developing innovative pharmaceutical products and optimizing existing formulations to meet market demands.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in formulation development, particularly with Solid & Liquid Oral, and a strong foundation in Pharmaceutics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project scope definition, activity planning, and timely completion.
  • Develop new formulations by investigating API characteristics, viability, safety, and compatibility with other ingredients.
  • Identify resource requirements, assimilate literature information, and ensure its appropriate usage throughout development.
  • Apply Quality by Design principles to develop R&D plans and experimental designs.
  • Plan and coordinate lab scale-up/optimization, pilot BE batches, and technology transfer.
  • Review Lab experiment notebooks, prepare and review technology transfer documents, and liaison with production teams.
  • Program optimization of existing product performance, investigate API characteristics, and research viability, safety, and compatibility of ingredients and formulas.
  • Monitor stability studies, evaluate results, and advance further for product development activities.
  • Liaise with various departments, including project management, analytical development, supply chain, clinical, regulatory, and IP department.
  • Prepare new SOPs, manuals, and guidelines documents and renew existing ones.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of equipment and instruments.
  • Train subordinates, technicians, and housekeeping personnel on various equipment, instruments, and systems.
  • Ensure proper storage and destruction of raw materials and finished goods.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics)
  • Formulation development experience of Solid & Liquid Oral, preferably with Pellets project experience.

Additional Notes:

  • This role may require extended hours or shifts based on project requirements.
  • Occasional visits to manufacturing sites may be necessary.
