Pharmaceutical Procurement Expert

Job Overview: We seek an experienced pharmaceutical procurement professional to lead our centralized procurement operations, implementing a strategic approach to manage vendor relationships, optimize inventory, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive procurement plan to secure high-quality pharmaceutical products, negotiate favorable contracts, and establish effective vendor relationships.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and implement systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, develop quality control procedures, and maintain detailed documentation to support procurement processes.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage procurement budgets, analyze cost optimization initiatives, and prepare reports on procurement performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Pharmacy or M.Pharmacy (preferred), MBA in Supply Chain/Operations Management (advantageous).
  • Experience: 8-12 years in pharmaceutical procurement, preferably in hospital/healthcare settings, experience with centralized procurement operations, knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain and distribution networks, experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, knowledge of drug storage, handling, and distribution protocols, proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software, strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Key Competencies: Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, leadership skills to manage procurement teams.
