Platform Engineer - Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to oversee the design, development, and implementation of our platform infrastructure. This key role involves driving technical innovations and best practices within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate and improve deployment processes and infrastructure management.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address potential bottlenecks.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines and ensure software delivery best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and teams.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Ensure security best practices are integrated into the development and deployment processes.
  • Align with stakeholders on technology roadmap and progress.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of platform architecture and design principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Understanding of networking concepts and services, including load balancing, DNS, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Dynatrace).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
