Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our organization in a key infrastructure development role. The selected candidate will oversee the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring that work is carried out safely and in accordance with established protocols.
  • Resolve minor design and technical details in collaboration with contractors and architects, leveraging their expertise to drive project success.
  • Manage and monitor local contractors, enforcing high standards of workmanship and quality control.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, labour, and progress on site, facilitating informed decision-making and timely interventions when necessary.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders through charts, emails, and other communication channels, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Remain on-site during the entire construction period, overseeing project execution and resolving on-the-ground issues promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and manage site logistics, minimizing risks and optimizing resource allocation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, with a strong foundation in mathematical and scientific principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for resolving on-site issues effectively, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, designs, and specifications, as well as manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of working in CAD software and familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies.
