Overview of Role:
As a Database Administrator, you will work with senior developers to design, test, plan, protect and implement databases.
The key areas of responsibility include managing database performance, creating high availability architecture, managing backups, and developing monitoring tools.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of relational database architecture and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and T-SQL.
- Experience with cloud database storage technologies is an added advantage.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage database locking, process blocking, and performance tuning.
- Create and maintain high availability and disaster-recovery-friendly architecture.
- Manage backup and restoration processes.
- Develop and deploy new database objects.
- Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers.
