DFT Engineer Job Description

Job Title: DFT Engineer

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • • We collaborate with ASIC design teams to ensure that DFT design rules and coverages are met.
  • • High-quality manufacturing ATPG test patterns are generated for stuck-at (SAF), transition fault (TDF) models using on-chip test compression techniques.
  • • MBIST verification (including repair), test pattern generation is done through Mentor tool.
  • • ATPG (SAF, TDF) and MBIST verification use unit delay and min/max timing corner simulations.
  • • Work with Product/Test engineering teams to deliver manufacturing test patterns for ATE.
  • • Post-silicon debug effort and issue resolution require our support.
  • • Diagnostic Tool generation is necessary for ATPG, MBIST, and bring-up on ATE.
  • • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining scripts as needed is part of this role.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • • At least 4-12 years' experience in ASIC/DFT - simulation and Silicon validation.
  • • Working in at least one Full chip DFT project is a requirement.
  • • In-depth knowledge of DFT concepts, pattern simulation, Silicon debug, and yield enhancement is essential.
  • • Expertise in ATPG - coverage analysis, Memory verification, repair, and failure root-cause analysis is required.
  • • Experience with tools like ATPG - TestKompress, MBIST - MentorETVerify, Simulation - VCS (preferred), ModelSim is mandatory.
  • • Scripting languages such as Perl, shell, etc. expertise is an added advantage.
  • • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in an international team, dynamic environment is expected.
  • • Ability to learn and adapt to new tools, methodologies is a must.
  • • Multi-tasking and working on several high-priority designs in parallel are key requirements.
