Market Development Manager

The Market Development Manager's primary responsibility is to develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of hotel and property products for Expedia Group's global customer base within their assigned territory.
In doing so, you will work with Expedia Group's property partners to help them maximize production potential from their participation in the Expedia marketplace by utilizing data insights, marketing, distribution, and revenue management toolsets.
This role is the core of the Market Management team, ensuring that Expedia Group's global customers find suitable hotels for their dream trips, and our hotel partners can effectively reach Expedia Group's global traveler demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain strong partner relationships by providing data insights and high-quality consulting services to hotel partners.
- Build the portfolio of local hotel partners by introducing prospective partners to Expedia's marketplace and facilitating their onboarding process.
- Ensure partner hotels' products are consistently optimized on Expedia sites to maximize customer conversion.
- Secure additional lodging rates and availability information over high demand and compression periods to satisfy customers' pressing needs.
- Secure seasonal deals and promotions within management guidelines to support merchandising and marketing efforts.
- Continuously promote and develop hotel partners' engagement with Expedia's suite of market insights, revenue management tools, marketing opportunities, and self-service tools.
- Represent Expedia Group in the local market, build the company's profile with key local influencers, and provide expertise to the local industry.
- Provide coaching to colleagues on standard methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or related field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- 4-6 years' experience in Account management II B2B sales role.
- 20 – 30% of travel for market visits.
