Software Engineering Leadership Position

About the Role:

This position involves leading software engineering teams to drive product development and innovation. As a seasoned leader, you will be responsible for defining and executing the platform engineering strategy in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering roadmap that aligns with company vision and goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive product transformation initiatives and ensure seamless launches.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing engineering organizations, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Oversee the development and operations of scalable, reliable software platforms with high availability.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer adoption and satisfaction.
  • Make strategic technical decisions balancing engineering, business, and customer needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in scalability, stability, performance, and security.
  • Champion Agile methodologies and promote data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including 10+ years leading software product development in Agile environments.
  • Proven leadership managing large-scale engineering organizations across diverse skill sets.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, containers, APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, and serverless computing.
  • Strong understanding of software & infrastructure cost dynamics.
  • Technical background in Java, .NET, AWS, RedHat, ETL tools, and front-end technologies; familiarity with Github Copilot, Jira a plus.
  • Track record of coaching, mentoring, and building engineering talent pipelines.
