Senior Systems Development Engineer Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Development Engineer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customer business needs and IT strategy, as well as experience in designing solution architectures that meet business needs and technology context.

This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to empathize with customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements from customers, planning, designing, implementing, testing, and documenting integration processes varying in levels of complexity.

The Senior Systems Development Engineer will also be responsible for developing test plan specifications, testing, and debugging processes according to plan, providing technical analysis for proper handling of integration processes and Molecule/ATOM deployments, and advising project teams during system development to assure compliance with standards.

This role requires a thorough understanding of common software delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps. The successful candidate will also need to design and set up Molecule/Atom Runtime infrastructure on Cloud or On-Premise with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from customers and plan, design, implement, test, and document integration processes.
  • Develop test plan specifications, test, and debug processes according to plan.
  • Provide technical analysis for proper handling of integration processes and Molecule/ATOM deployments.
  • Advises project teams during system development to assure compliance with standards.
  • Design and set up Molecule/Atom Runtime infrastructure on Cloud or On-Premise with HA and DR.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/B.E. Degree or Master's/ME degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 9-14 years of IT work experience
  • Professional services/consulting, architecting, and delivering solutions in the Systems Integration space, SaaS experience desirable
  • Min 7+ years of experience in Boomi architecting, designing, and developing Boomi projects
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment such as technical consulting
  • Deep knowledge of EDI Integration, API Management, and Master Data Hub or Master Data Management

Desirable Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Boomi Elements like EDI, API Management, Master Data Hub (MDH), and other visual-based integration middleware platforms
  • Database skills including SQL, data modeling, and databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)
  • Messaging/Streaming knowledge including Solace, Kafka, JMS (e.g. ActiveMQ, MQSeries, OracleAQ)
