System Infrastructure Architect

Senior systems platform architects are strategic technology leaders responsible for the analysis and design of infrastructure frameworks to meet application, platform, or system needs.
The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that completed infrastructure and application architecture aligns with security, scalability, and availability standards.
Key responsibilities include designing and delivering internet infrastructure solutions that satisfy member, product, service, and backbone requirements, generating high-level system requirements based on given constraints, ensuring consistency and correctness of high-level requirements, and resolving internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally.
Additionally, senior systems platform architects may assume lead accountability for ongoing regional projects, including responsibility for planning, time and cost control, resource utilization, and implementation.
They will also implement, manage, and support internet infrastructure components while leveraging current standards and best practices, perform problem diagnosis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management for MasterCard internet components, and assure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production execution of all relevant systems.
Required skills and qualifications include thorough knowledge and understanding of network, operating system principles, and web middleware, advanced knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls, working knowledge of Database technologies and cloud technologies, knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles and Network Micro-segmentation, experience working with YAML-based deployments.
Preferred skills and abilities include leadership and initiative, detailed orientation and customer obsession, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize efforts, ability to pick up new technologies at a quick pace and learn on-the-go, excellent collaborative skills with cross-functional teams, providing positive customer service to internal business partners.
