Job Role: Fashion Category Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage the end-to-end merchandising process in woven garments. The successful candidate will act as a key link between buyers, suppliers, and the production team, ensuring strong coordination, costing knowledge, and timely delivery of products that meet buyer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Design team for seasonal collections based on customer requirements.
  • Develop samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with buyers.
  • Process material orders on time while improving budget and costs.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, work independently, and adapt to changing environments.
  • Manage small and high-value business, maintaining strong communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Have technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing processes for different categories.
  • Show excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrate high ownership and commitment to job responsibilities for result-driven achievements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Technology, or equivalent.
  • 1-8 years of experience as a Merchandiser in a woven garment factory (buyer handling experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
