Application Specialist

Our organization is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to manage proposals for ACHX Cold Boxes in Indian and Export Markets.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in highly technical sales environments, preferably from rotating equipment divisions. They will be responsible for handling inquiries, selecting and sizing equipment, and negotiating with clients to ensure that costs, delivery, quality, and specifications are met.

• Manage proposals for ACHX Cold Boxes in Indian and Export Markets.
• Select and size equipment based on client requirements.
• Negotiate with clients to ensure proposal costs, delivery, quality, and specifications meet their needs.
• Ensure all proposals meet company standards and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and internal functional departments to coordinate the proposal process.
• Review enquiry documents and obtain clarifications where required to ensure company design standards and customer specifications are maintained.
• Attend Technical Clarification Meetings with customers and sub-contractors when required to clarify any technical issues and meet customer needs.
• Clarify client technical issues and manage company-client relationship to ensure the highest level of service.
• Adhere to Health and Safety standards in compliance with Company policy to ensure safe working environment.

• Degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering.
• 2-5 years' experience in a proposals function in a highly technical sales environment, preferably from rotating equipment divisions.
• Commercial awareness to produce competitive and cost-effective proposals.
• Basic knowledge of process design techniques and interpretation of results into mechanical equipment details.
• Process knowledge on control philosophy and hands-on awareness on P ID and process instruments.
• Leadership, communication, negotiating, influencing, and inter-personal skills.
• Knowledge of and commitment to customer service, financial control, and engineering quality.
• Good communication skills.
• Microsoft Office plus VB, Macros would be an added advantage.
