Cost Analyst Job Description

An Analyst role where you will contribute to the profitability of the company by providing thorough and competitive cost/pricing analysis in the bid and proposal process.

The successful candidate must be able to manage the overall cost/pricing process, while ensuring the effective analysis of customer requirements, development of competitive bid pricing and contribution to winning proposals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects.
  • Create reports reflecting metrics and project status, client level P&L, objectives and KPIs.
  • Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the company.
  • Work with the sales and delivery teams to define pricing structure for services offered.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry conditions.
  • Identify ideal pricing structures and sales funnels.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 5-8 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience developing clear and accurate deliverables from SME and technical source materials.
  • Prior experience building pricing models.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the capability to build consensus and partnership.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience contributing to RFP responses.
  • Experience working and delivering to the SDLC process.
  • Experience with data analytics.
