Job Title:

Sr. QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to lead our testing efforts and drive quality at scale.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evolve the entire testing lifecycle, ensuring optimal test coverage and automation ROI.
  • Create scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and microservices testing.
  • Establish quality gates across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and drive shift-left testing practices.
  • Lead initiatives for performance, non-functional, and cross-browser testing to ensure reliability at scale.
  • Collaborate closely with Development and DevOps teams to embed automation into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Mandatory experience working in SaaS environments with multi-tenant architecture, releases, and deployments.
  • Hands-on engineer with a proven track record of coding and testing to production standards.
  • Strong understanding of functional, regression, and non-functional testing principles.
  • Excellent communicator with a focus on clear documentation, collaboration, and cross-team alignment.

Desirable Expertise:

  • 5-9 years of QA automation and engineering experience in SaaS-based product companies.
  • Problem-solving skills with proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Expertise in Selenium, UI & API automation, and building frameworks from scratch.
  • Deep knowledge of STLC, test management, coverage strategy, and release processes.
  • Skilled in exploratory and manual testing for edge cases and usability.
