As a key player in our Balance Sheet Management practice, you will have the opportunity to help business leaders embed a proactive and dynamic risk management capability into their organizations. Our team provides clients with gap assessments, as well as design and implementation of processes to facilitate asset and liability management, funding and liquidity planning, and stress testing, and capital management.">
To achieve this, we are seeking a skilled CECL Analyst who can work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex credit risk management challenges. As a member of the Risk & Regulatory Advisory team, you will advise financial institutions on a broad range of credit risk management topics, including organization risk rating model design, build and implementation, and work on teams evaluating, designing, and implementing credit risk strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Allowance for Credit Losses, including methodology, models, and US GAAP requirements under Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) and knowledge of IFRS 9. They will also have strong writing and communication skills across complex accounting, credit, and model topics.
Additionally, experience in designing, building, and/or validating qualitative reserves for financial institutions across a broad array of asset classes, including both consumer and commercial loans is required. The ability to collaborate with teams to create a proven atmosphere of trust, seek diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation, and coach staff to provide timely meaningful written and verbal feedback is essential.
Required skills and qualifications include a Bachelor Degree, a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the reserve, finance, or controllership organization at a large financial institution, and proficiency in MS Office applications. Experience in working with and managing on-shore and off-shore teams, as well as thorough ability to communicate project goals and objectives, project status and deliverables, building consensus and presenting standard industry practices/point of view effectively, are highly desirable.
