Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets, from procurement to disposal, within ServiceNow.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date asset records, tracking, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures.
  • Utilize ServiceNow ITAM modules (Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM)) to manage and track assets.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow ITAM workflows and processes to meet organizational needs.
  • Implement and maintain ServiceNow discovery and reconciliation processes.
  • Work closely with procurement teams to ensure accurate asset information during the purchasing process.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to IT assets.
  • Negotiate software licensing agreements and renewals.
  • Analyze asset utilization data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce software licensing costs and hardware expenses.
  • Track and report on asset costs and budget adherence.
  • Perform regular audits of IT assets to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and internal policies.
  • Prepare and respond to internal and external audit requests.
  • Implement and maintain asset compliance reporting.
  • Develop and generate reports and dashboards related to asset utilization, cost, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on asset data analysis.
  • Present asset management reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment on asset management goals and processes.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on asset management processes.
  • Implement and maintain ITAM best practices and workflows for SAM and HAM processes in ServiceNow.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance asset management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in ITAM.Required Skills and Experience :
  • Extensive experience in managing IT hardware and software assets.
  • Strong understanding of ITAM best practices and industry standards (e.g., ITIL).
  • Experience with software licensing management and vendor negotiations.
  • Proficiency in using ServiceNow ITAM modules (HAM and SAM).
  • Experience in configuring and customizing ServiceNow ITAM workflows.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow discovery and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to generate and interpret asset management reports and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong presentation skills :

  • Understanding of software licensing compliance and audit requirements.
  • Experience in conducting asset audits and preparing audit reports.
  • 6-9 years of experience in IT Asset Management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
