Job Overview:

The Raw Material Inventory Manager will oversee and maintain raw material inventory in compliance with organizational standards. This role ensures timely availability of materials, accurate record keeping and adherence to safety and quality protocols.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the raw material store including receipt, storage, issuance and record maintenance.
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled, identified and stored as per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts and reconciliation of physical vs. system stock.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production and Quality teams to ensure timely availability of materials without disruption.
  • Maintain FIFO/FEFO system for material issuance.
  • Monitor storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cleanliness) to maintain material quality.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP and other regulatory requirements for raw material handling.
  • Manage documentation including GRNs, stock registers, bin cards and SAP/ERP entries.
  • Identify slow-moving, non-moving or expired materials and coordinate for proper disposal as per guidelines.
  • Support audits (internal/external) by ensuring documentation accuracy and store readiness.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Science/Commerce or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in raw material store management (preferably in pharmaceuticals/medical devices/manufacturing industry).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques (FIFO, FEFO, JIT).
  • Strong understanding of ISO 13485, GMP and regulatory compliance related to raw material handling.
