Job Title: Data Operations and Management Lead

McDonald's is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our data operations and management efforts. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive observability frameworks to monitor performance, reliability, and availability of Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDAA) data platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Framework Development: Design and implement frameworks that enable real-time insights and root cause analysis.
  • SLI/SLO/KPI Definition: Define and track key Service Level Indicators, Service Level Objectives, and Key Performance Indicators across critical platform components and data pipelines.
  • Tool Integration: Lead the integration of monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting tools to support incident response and continuous reliability improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with platform engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), and product teams to enhance observability coverage and automate incident responses.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 11+ years of experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), DevOps, or observability roles.
  • Skills: Proficient with ETL Pipelines, strong expertise with observability tools and platforms, deep understanding of monitoring distributed data platforms, data pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
