Job Title:

We are seeking an accomplished Leader in Vacuum Furnace Design to spearhead our team of engineers in conceiving and developing innovative vacuum furnace solutions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the field of vacuum equipment design, furnace design and engineering, calculations, and modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical strategies for sales offers and customer specifications
  • Sizing and costing of technical offers with sales manager
  • Project monitoring and provision of technical support
  • Engineering management and technical analysis of projects
  • Conceptual design and development for implementing innovative solutions
  • Interface with co-workers and customers for design, development, implementation, and delivery cycle
  • Analytical problem-solving support for assembly factory/assembly lines and equipment fabrication/assembly/quality/tests, installation, and commissioning
  • Compilation of technical/design and administrative dossier/docs for all customer accounts
  • Review engineering and design for future planning in line with company strategy plans

Qualifications and Technical Competencies:

  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Design
  • Design and analysis of mechanical/electrical structures/low/high/ultra-high vacuum systems
  • High Pressure Vessel design/construction
  • High Temperature Hot Zone design/construction
  • Heating Elements/Heat-Shield or Insulation design and construction
  • Heat Exchanger design/construction
  • Hot-zone support structure/Hearth bar design/construction
  • Knowledge about Heat treatment, brazing, carburizing, hardening, annealing, melting, etc.
  • Knowledge and application of various type of materials, surface and thermal treatments for low/high/ultra-high vacuum
  • Hands on aptitude with an understanding of standard design practices and manufacturing techniques
  • Advanced skills in 2D & 3D CAD software - preferably AutoCAD and Inventor or Solid Works
  • 3D design for vacuum chambers and systems
  • Knowledge and application of numerical modelling in solid mechanics
  • Thermal exchange calculation/Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Finite Element Method (FEM) and Thermo-mechanical simulations analysis
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, vacuum process systems, electrical components, and automation
