Job Title:

Oracle Database Administrator

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement robust Oracle database architectures for high availability, scalability, and performance.
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure minimal downtime and data loss.
  3. Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance, resolve complex issues, and implement efficient solutions.
  4. Provide expert-level technical guidance on database administration, security, and compliance to internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in mission-critical environments.
  3. Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, and Data Pump.
  4. Proven track record of successful database deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex database issues and develop effective solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Desirable Skills:
  1. Cloud certifications (OCI, AWS, or Azure DB Specialist).
  2. Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized database deployments.
  3. Knowledge of GoldenGate or advanced replication solutions.
  4. Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) or Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark).
  5. Certifications in Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM).
