Job Overview

This role involves the design, implementation and optimization of unified communications systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced SIP trunking solutions and configuring CUBE devices to ensure seamless communication across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unified Communications System Design: The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing unified communications systems including CUCM, CUC, IM & Presence, and Expressways.
  • SIP Trunking Solutions: The candidate will develop and implement SIP trunking solutions including codec negotiation and call routing logic to ensure high-quality voice and video transmission.
  • CUBE Device Configuration: The person in this role will configure and optimize CUBE and voice gateway devices for advanced IOS gateway setup, dial peers, DSP resources, and survivability strategies.
  • Analog Device Expertise: The successful candidate will understand and work with analog devices including gateways, phones, fax devices, DTMF, and dial-tone behavior.
  • End-to-End Call Flows: The ideal candidate will engineer end-to-end call flows across multiple platforms including CUCM, Unity, UCCX/UCCE, and Expressway.
  • IPT Solution Migration: The person in this role will migrate IPT solutions to UCS platforms or cloud-based collaboration using Webex Calling and Cisco HCS.
Strategic and Operational Skills:
  • Capacity Planning: Develop capacity plans and scalable dial plans to manage bandwidth across WAN links.
  • Disaster Recovery Strategy: Architect disaster recovery strategies, backup systems, and DR testing protocols.
  • Integration and Interoperability: Integrate IPT systems with third-party systems including CRM, ERP, SIP endpoints, and SBCs.
  • Change Advisory Boards: Lead change advisory boards, document impact assessments, and enforce configuration standards.
