Job Title: Data Governance Specialist">

This role involves taking end-to-end responsibility for master data lifecycle management within the ERP ecosystem. It demands accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance of information stored and processed.

  • Data Integration & Master Data Management:
    • The successful candidate will manage real-time and batch integrations between IFS ERP and external applications via APIs, ETL pipelines, and middleware platforms.
    • Vendor Master Data workflows require careful administration including creation, update, status change (block/unblock), and synchronization with legacy ERP or procurement platforms.
    • Maintaining Material/Part Master Data within IFS and Integra systems is crucial for efficient operations.
    • Data validation scripts and lookup tables must be implemented to enforce standardization and prevent duplication.
  • Data Governance & Quality Assurance:
    • Applying DAMA-DMBOK principles and enforcing naming conventions, attribute rules, and coding standards in IFS are essential tasks.
    • IFS Data Quality Reports must be configured and run to monitor missing fields, duplicates, and out-of-sync records across environments.
    • Performing root cause analysis on data defects and executing remediation plans in collaboration with functional and technical teams is vital.
    • Data lineage documentation must be maintained for traceability across systems and modules.
  • Compliance, Security & Audit Readiness:
    • Implementing role-based access control (RBAC) within IFS to enforce least-privilege principles is a key responsibility.
    • Working with IT security to ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal audit requirements is necessary.
    • Monitoring and logging data transactions, change histories, and integration calls for audit readiness is critical.
    • Data migration scripts for ERP upgrades or module rollouts must be validated and approved.
  • Continuous Process Optimization:
    • Collaborating with ERP functional consultants to automate data onboarding via import templates, macros, or IFS Migration Jobs is essential.
    • Optimizing data-related SQL queries and stored procedures to improve system performance is crucial.
    • Proposing enhancements to ETL scheduling, error handling, and exception reporting is necessary.
    • Participating in UAT for new data-related functionalities or module upgrades is vital.

A Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field is required. Certifications such as CDMP, IFS Certified Specialist, and Data Governance & Stewardship Professional are preferred.
