Information Technology Administrator Role

The IT Administrator will be responsible for maintaining our company's IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and ensuring smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist in the maintenance of computers, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Install and update software across the company's systems.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic IT problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Ensure regular data backups and contribute to the company's data security efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, issues, and resolutions in a ticketing or documentation system.
  • Monitor and maintain the company's local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity.
  • Support basic IT security tasks, such as ensuring antivirus updates and security patches are applied.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Have 2 to 3 years of experience in IT support or administration.
  • Be familiar with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Have basic knowledge of network concepts and hardware components.
  • Be proficient in office productivity software.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to work well in a team and follow instructions.
Added Advantage:
  • Hold IT certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals.
  • Have basic knowledge of network security and firewall configurations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
