Cyber Security Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive security professional to safeguard our systems, networks, and data against internal and external threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust security solutions to protect against cyber threats.
  • Monitor systems and networks for potential security breaches and investigate violations.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Respond to security incidents and lead incident response activities to ensure the highest levels of system integrity and data protection.
  • Maintain compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and secure software development life cycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Solid understanding of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS).
  • Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex security issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, OSCP.
  • Experience with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
