Price Strategy Specialist

The primary focus of this role is to identify problems, recommend solutions, document requirements and communicate the requirements and direction of new and existing products for airlines that meet market demand and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automated Pricing Solutions: Knowledge of automated pricing rules processing is required.
  • Innovative Product Development: Working with airlines directly, provide innovative solutions for shopping, pricing, reissues, and refunds using ATPCO fares and rules.
  • Project Coordination: With a focus on shopping, pricing, reissues, and refunds, work with cross-functional teams to manage projects through concept, development, and implementation.
  • Requirements Definition: Create project requirements documents that define all the requirements during the concept phase.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers and project managers to ensure that customer requirements are being met during the development phase.
  • Implementation and Launch Planning: Work with other internal departments to ensure all elements of the launch come together to support quick adoption by new and existing customers during implementation and launch.
  • Technical Documentation Creation: Create, review, and update functional requirements documents and high-level workflow technical design documentation for implementation of systems and applications projects.
  • Pilot and Beta Testing Management: Support implementation and launch to market including managing pilots and beta tests.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience in the travel industry (preferably with an airline reservation system, GDS, or travel agency).
  • Skills and Qualifications: Explicit ATPCO Automated Rules processing including automated reissues (Cat 31) and refunds (Cat 33), strong overall knowledge of ATPCO fares, pricing, and data application, strong business requirements gathering and documentation capabilities, strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of IATA Fare Construction a plus and experience in gathering functional requirements and writing functional requirement documents.
