Financial Operations Specialist

 

The role of the Financial Operations Specialist is to provide financial leadership and support to designated legal entities in the APAC region.

  • Provide timely and accurate month-end accruals and prepayments to ensure all costs are captured and appropriately recognized for local and US reporting needs.
  • Ensure timely recognition of bank transactions by setting up and inputting journals into the ledger.
  • Produce daily cash reports for all APAC businesses, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Review daily cash requirements for the APAC entities to ensure appropriate funding arrangements are in place.
  • Set up and post monthly journals for items such as depreciation, and update supporting spreadsheets accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager, local advisors, and other team members to ensure year-end audit, statutory accounts, and tax returns are filed to deadlines.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations of control accounts, bank accounts, and all asset debtor and creditor accounts on time, based on risk category.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Should have 1-2+ years' experience working for a multinational corporation with regional accounting responsibilities.
  • Experience with accounting systems, preferably Oracle, reporting, and reconciliation requirements is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and a solid understanding of financial regulations.
  • Excellent Excel skills – at least intermediate level, with Hyperion experience being desirable.
  • Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are vital for success in this role.
