About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the university, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all administrative services.
  • Policymaking: Ensure the implementation of university policies, procedures, and regulations in alignment with institutional goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the university leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that enhance the university's administrative capacity.
Faculty Management
  • Talent Acquisition: Support the HR team in recruitment, training, and development efforts for faculty and administrative staff.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment among staff, faculty, and students to promote effective communication and teamwork.
  • Liaison: Serve as a liaison between the administration, faculty, staff, and students to foster open communication and transparency.
Financial & Resource Management
  • Budgeting: Assist in managing the university's budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, resource allocation, and maintenance of university facilities.
  • Sustainability: Work with various departments to ensure financial stability and sustainability of university operations.
Student Affairs & Services
  • Student Support: Supervise and improve student services and administrative systems that support academic success.
  • Concern Resolution: Address and resolve student concerns regarding administrative processes, including admissions, registrations, and evaluations.
  • Policies: Ensure compliance with student-centric policies and implement initiatives that enhance student life and engagement.
Compliance & Accreditation
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all national or international regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Accreditation Processes: Collaborate with external bodies for accreditation processes and ensure the university meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements.
  • Policymaking: Maintain an understanding of changing educational policies and their potential impact on university operations.
Qualifications
  • Education: PhD from top institutions of the country.
  • Experience: A considerable experience in a senior administrative role in an academic environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex administrative functions in a university setting.
  • Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of higher education policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse university stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems creatively, manage conflicts, and lead change initiatives effectively.
  • Technology Familiarity: Familiarity with ERP systems, student management systems, and other educational technologies.
  • Collaboration: A proactive approach to fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment for faculty and staff.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to dynamic and evolving challenges in the higher education landscape.
