Investment Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Investment Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the expansion plans of Indian companies into international markets, engaging with clients, generating leads and supporting International Economic Development Agencies (EDAs & EDOs) towards attracting investments in their region.
The role involves interaction and business development meetings with Indian companies looking to invest into international markets, specifically UAE. Strong networking skills and a thorough understanding of various business sectors of client countries are critical for this role.
About the Role
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client's proposition, geography, various sectors, business strengths of the region, tax benefits for an investor, policies, and compliances.
- Manage the complete Investment Promotion project of our client geographies (Economic Development Organisations)
- Conduct evaluation meetings with Indian companies/conglomerates
- Engage in discussions with CXOs of Indian companies and develop an understanding of their expansion plans in various international markets.
- Identify companies with business interests to invest/expand in the international markets and generate leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with overseas companies/consultants via various modes of communication like email, telephonic interviews, participating in seminars/networking events, and meetings to understand their expansion plans.
- Identify opportunities for our clients.
- Presents our client's geography as a potential business location for company's expansion plans.
- Analyzes and formulates reports from data/information gathered from interactions and meetings.
- Engages with the client, manages delegation visits, client visits, virtual webinars, investors road shows for client accounts.
- Writes proposals, business plans, and analysis.
- Sets up meetings with CXO level executives of qualified companies.
- Prepares and delivers presentations on research findings and trends on cross-border investments, Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to the clients.
- Interacts with overseas clients and provides regular updates through the project.
- Prepares and delivers presentations on client's geography and proposition to international companies.
- Manages junior team members and mentors them through the process.
- Authors reports containing actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-4 years in Trade promotion bodies/Expert Network/Trade & Investment Promotion/Investment Attraction/SME-Corporate Banking/Economic Development/Market Entry with experience in business development and handling overseas clients.
- Strong industry expertise and networks. Experience of business development will be preferred.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English is must.
- Understanding of Market Entry, Cross-Border Investments, Internationalization via International market expansion.
- Experience of New Business Development and Client Handling.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in any discipline, preference for Masters in fields of Economics, Finance, International Business (other disciplines will be considered where candidates can demonstrate core skills required).
- Demonstrated ability to work inter-team, collaborate, ideate, engage with clients and work in global teams.
