Job Overview

The IT Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver business objectives.

This role requires a strong background in procurement and contracting, as well as expertise in knowledge of procurement sub-categories including IT Infrastructure Products and Services, Office IT Products and Services, and Cloud and Datacenter services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Sourcing:
    • Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve efficiency.
    • Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define sourcing requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Sourcing Planning:
    • Formulate category-specific cost models to support business needs.
    • Work with clients and colleagues to develop IT strategies and sourcing plans for global and regional markets.
    • Ensure compliance with defined sourcing policies and processes.
  • Management of Sourcing Initiatives:
    • Lead and execute IT sourcing projects from end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
    • Deliver allocated savings targets through the effective management of sourcing initiatives.
    • Adhere to defined sourcing policies and processes.
  • Sourcing Support:
    • Provide sourcing subject matter expertise to support client engagements and pitches.
    • Offer sourcing planning and execution services across a dynamic, multi-client environment.
    Requirements:
    • University degree in economics, supply management, or a related field, or industry experience equivalent.
    • Additonal sourcing/procurement certification is advantageous.
    • Strong oral and written English communication skills.

Minimum 12-15 years' experience in strategic sourcing, ideally gained in an international environment, with demonstrable success in delivering business objectives. Strong project management skills are also required.

Preferred Skills:
  • Deep understanding of license models, service models, IT applications, and infrastructure.
  • Able to negotiate and maintain relationships with third-party IT vendors like IBM, Oracle, Wipro, and small OEMs.
  • Competent in negotiations and contract knowledge, with strong ability to converse, negotiate with suppliers/clients and review contracts in English.
