Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing network/cloud security devices, systems, and tools to ensure the security posture of our infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting issues related to firewalls, proxies, distributed denial of service systems, data labeling and loss systems, and host-based security controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, analyzing, and resolving network/cloud security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshooting issues stemming from configurations on platforms such as firewalls including web application firewalls, proxies, distributed denial of service systems, data labeling and loss systems, and host-based security controls.
  • Collaborating with teams to implement remediation activities and provide feedback on work instructions.
  • Supporting Visa's cybersecurity operations standards and excellence by ensuring all actions align with established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement within core functions and implementing changes to enhance incident management processes.
  • Tracking, updating, and resolving assigned incidents, changes, and problem reports in the incident management system, maintaining thorough, accurate documentation.
  • Following documented support procedures to manage each issue through resolution or turnover while maintaining established service levels.
  • Reviewing and soliciting improvements to documented procedures to drive toward objective response and restoration time frames.

Requirements include:

  1. Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience or 2+ years of experience with advanced technical training.
  2. Experience in Network/Security Operations Engineer, network/security support analyst roles, or multi-technology expertise across multiple domains such as firewalls including web application firewall, proxies, distributed denial of service systems, data labeling and loss systems.
  3. Understanding of network monitoring concepts, management tools, and fault monitoring toolsets namely Indeni, Splunk, Moloch, QRadar, Solarwinds, NetCool, or other similar platforms.
  4. Knowledge of native cloud-based security monitoring tools.
  5. General knowledge of networking and routing topology, cybersecurity frameworks, constructs, and auditable standards.
  6. Excellent communication skills throughout the incident management process to ensure timely and accurate information exchange according to documented process.
  7. Proficiency in ITIL concepts, preferably with Knowledge of ServiceNow or other incident and change management tools.
  8. Familiarity of payment transaction message flows and diverse types that could result in client impacts such as message delivery outages, theft, or fraud.
  9. Ability to maintain central and distributed firewall platforms, Panorama management and logging infrastructures.
  10. Functional use of MS Office suite.
